Content Browser

Look up any public Instagram or TikTok account, page through what it posted, and save the pieces worth keeping into your Media Library.

Content Browser is where you go when you already know whose account you want to look at. You type a handle, choose which part of that account to fetch (the profile, the posts, the reels, the stories), and anything that comes back can be saved into your Media Library in one click. You never connect a social account of your own to use it. The Content Browser page has the short version of what it covers.

Before you start

You need to be signed in, and the module has to be switched on for your account. You will find it in the sidebar under Discover. Nothing else has to be connected: this reads public data, so there is no account linking, no permissions to grant, no waiting for an approval.

Fetching costs credits. Every tool card and every load button carries its own price as a coin chip before you press it, and the current prices are on the pricing page. If your balance is too low, the button is disabled and a line under the field shows your balance with a link to top up.

Saving is free, but saved files live in your Media Library and count against your storage allowance, which depends on your plan. The library itself is covered in Workspace.

Look up an account

  1. Open Content Browser from the Discover section of the sidebar.
  2. Choose Instagram or TikTok at the top of the first card. Switching platforms swaps the row of tools underneath it.
  3. Pick a tool. Instagram gives you profile, avatar, stories, highlights, posts and reels. TikTok gives you profile, avatar, posts and playlists. Ten browsers in total, and they do not all cost the same, so read the chips on the cards before you choose. If the row is wider than your screen, drag it sideways or use the two arrows next to the label.
  4. Type the account into the field. A bare username, an @handle and a full profile URL all work. Whatever you paste, the username is pulled out of it before anything is fetched, so copying the address bar straight from Instagram is fine.
  5. Press the load button. Credits come off at that moment, and the results open in a panel of their own below the search card.

What comes back depends on the tool you picked. The profile browser shows the avatar, the display name, verified and private badges, the post, follower and following counts, the bio and the link in the bio, with a grid of recent posts underneath. The posts, reels, stories and highlights browsers skip the profile card and go straight to the grid.

Your last platform and tool are remembered, so returning to the page puts you back where you were.

Save what is worth keeping

Click any tile to open it full size. The viewer shows the media, the caption, the date and whichever counts the platform exposes (likes, comments, views, shares). From there you have two options:

  • Add to Gallery copies the file into your Media Library, into a folder named Content Browser that is created for you the first time you use it. This costs nothing.
  • Download sends the file straight to your device and does not touch the library.

A carousel is saved frame by frame, not as a bundle. Step through it with the arrows or the thumbnail strip and save each item you want; the confirmation tells you which item of how many you just took.

To keep a profile picture at full resolution, use the avatar tool, or hover the avatar inside the profile browser and press the plus button on it.

Everything you save appears in the Recently saved panel at the bottom of the page, newest first, and Open Media Library jumps straight to that folder. Deleting an item from that panel deletes the file for good, not just from the panel.

Saving something you already own does not store it twice. Files are matched by their contents, so a duplicate reuses the copy you already have, and your storage is charged once. From the library, anything you saved can be pulled into a post. See Publishing and Scheduling.

Page deeper into a grid

The first fetch returns one page of results. When more is available, a Load More button appears under the grid: on the Instagram profile, posts and reels browsers, and on the TikTok profile and posts browsers. Each further page is charged at half the price of the first fetch. The button carries its own chip, so check it there rather than assuming.

Highlights and playlists work the other way round. The fetch lists them, and opening one to see what is inside is free. Click a highlight or a playlist, look through its items, save what you want, then use the back link to return to the list.

The avatar and story browsers return everything in one go and have nothing to page.

Reading the results

The numbers on a profile card are the account's own counters, read at the moment you fetched. They are a snapshot, not a series: come back tomorrow and you will get a fresh number with no memory of the old one. If you want the same account measured repeatedly, scored and compared against others, that is Profile Reports, not this module.

Stories are only ever the ones live at that moment, and the viewer shows when each of them expires. An account with nothing live comes back empty, which is the honest answer rather than an error.

Results live in your browsing session, not in your account. They survive a page reload for a while and then expire, and the Clear button next to the search field drops them immediately. Nothing you browsed is kept for you, only what you saved.

What this does not do

  • Instagram and TikTok only. No other network can be browsed here.
  • You have to know the account. There is no keyword search, no trending feed and no discovery of any kind in this module. Finding accounts and topics you do not already know about is what Hashtag Research is for.
  • Private accounts cannot be browsed. A private account gives you the profile shell at best; its media is not reachable.
  • It does not analyse anything. No engagement rate, no score, no best time to post, no recommendations. Those live in Profile Reports.
  • It does not archive for you. What you browse is session-scoped and expires. If you want to keep it, save it while you are looking at it.

When something looks wrong

"User not found or profile is private." Check the spelling first, then check the account still exists and is public. The credits for that fetch are refunded automatically. A fetch that completes and simply finds nothing is the other case: the result was delivered, so it stays charged.

A rate limit message with a countdown. The upstream provider is throttling requests. Wait for the time shown and try again; that fetch is refunded too.

"API error" or an unexpected error. The provider failed rather than you. Refunded automatically; try again in a few minutes, and if it keeps failing for one account try another to see whether the problem is the account or the provider.

The load button is greyed out and the balance line is red. You do not have enough credits for that particular tool. Tools are priced separately, so a cheaper one may still run. Use the top-up link in that line.

Your results disappeared. The session expired, or Clear was pressed. There is no way to restore them, and fetching again is a new fetch that costs again. This is the reason to save as you go.

A save fails. Two usual causes: your storage allowance is full, in which case free some space in the Media Library and try again; or the media link from the platform has expired, in which case load the account again and save from the fresh result.

Anything else, including a charge you believe was wrong, goes to support with the handle and roughly when you tried.
