TikTok

TikTok scheduler

TikTok asks for more per post than any other network here, and most of it is not optional. The composer carries those fields properly instead of sending defaults and hoping.

What TikTok accepts

Checked before anything is sent, not after it fails.

Connects as TikTok or TikTok Business. Your plan counts connections, not networks.

Video posts and photo posts are different objects

  • A video post has no separate title. Its caption is the title, and the composer treats it that way rather than showing an empty field that fights the caption for the same slot.
  • A photo post has a short title above a longer description, and the two have different length caps. The right cap is applied to whichever one you are writing.
  • Photo slideshows accept far more images than a feed carousel elsewhere, which makes TikTok the odd one out when the same post goes to several networks.

The settings TikTok requires

  • Privacy on every post, set before it goes rather than changed afterwards in the app.
  • Comments, duets and stitches, each switchable per post.
  • Brand disclosure: either your own promotion or a branded partnership. The two are mutually exclusive and the composer enforces that, because sending both is rejected.
  • An AI-generated flag, which is a platform requirement rather than a courtesy.
  • Background music on photo slideshows is off by default, and when it is off an explicit opt-out is sent, because TikTok itself defaults to adding music.

Sending a draft instead

  • A post can be sent to TikTok as a draft, to be finished in the app where the sound library, AR effects and stickers live.
  • A draft arrives in the app's inbox notification rather than in the drafts folder. That is TikTok's behaviour, not a delivery failure, and it is worth knowing before you go looking in the wrong place.

What it does not do

  • Publishing needs a connected account with content posting enabled.
  • A draft cannot be scheduled to publish itself later. Once it is a draft, finishing it is a manual step in the app.
  • Vertical is the only aspect ratio TikTok prefers, so media built for a square feed will be cropped.
